What class should I take?

In the event the following information is not clear, please call us or the Clerk of Court in the county you received the traffic ticket.  At the bottom of this section is a link to all of the Clerk of Courts in Florida.

Advanced Driver Improvement

The Advanced Driver Improvement Course is when a driver is required to take an advanced course because of more sever violations and not allowed to take the Basic Driver Improvement course.

This course may be ordered by the court or the State of Florida’s Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.  If this course is ordered by the State of Florida, you will receive a letter fro the state.  If it is ordered by the court, the judge will tell you at the time of their ruling.  The course requires the driver to take this twelve (12) hour course.

Basic Driver Improvement

If you received a POSTCARD from us, you would need to take four (4) hour BASIC DRIVER IMPROVEMENT COURSE.  This course can help remove points from your driver’s license and save your insurance rates from an increase.  The postcard will indicate that the BDI course is the class you need.  In the address to you will indicate the county you received the ticket and list your traffic ticket number.

The course consists of eight sections.  You can finish one section and log out.  When you log back using your USERNAME and PASSWORD, it will take you to the point you left off and you can continue the course.

At the end of the course, there is a forty (40) question test.  Each question has a point value of 2.5 points.  To pass the test you must make a score of eighty (80).   If you fail a test, don’t worry.  Simply take another test.  There is no further fee.

When you have passed the test, you will need to log out and log back in.  You will get a message stating, “GET CERTIFICATE”.  Please print out two (2) copies of the certificate.

The “CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION ” must be mailed or delivered in person to the Clerk of Court in the county where the traffic citation was issued to you.  If the certificate is mailed, please send it by USPS “CERTIFIED MAIL RETURN RECIPT REQUESTED.  In the event of a problem, this will give you the evidence that you completed our course, and the Clerk of Court did sign for it indicating they did receive it.  This will avoid your driver’s license from a suspension.
